They went and overhauled the whole system for HR and benefits, if you have access while its down, you are probably safe.
If you do not, that might be a bad sign. I have a feeling they went thru and began changing access to lay people off.

Who would change their direct deposit? One would think you'd WANT your severance.

Nothing you can change in ESS affects layoffs.
If you had to process 5000 packages would you want people going in and changing anything ???

It is said it would be down Thursday at 9am. Until Tuesday. I think that is out of the norm for updates.
Routine maintenance only... Not tied in with layoffs... Yes, I know people are a bit jumpy right now.

Especially with open enrollment coming up. Sorry guys, don't get your hopes up if you have access - they clearly just finished maintenance early.

access has nothing to do with layoffs. Every employee at my location doesn't have access.
