Thread regarding Belk layoffs

If it is now "One Belk" why are some managers working only day shifts and not doing anything on the floor?

We have store managers and STM's working only day shifts like a 9-4 and not working weekends. We have some employees that only work day shifts as well that are "manager's pets" types. Should this be allowed?

I notice the managers get at least day a few days off in a row every week. As far as associates, I thought if you were not able to work on any part of the weekend you were just a flex associate and your hours were limited.

Big problem at Belk is favoritism with certain Managers and employees

Store Managers should be closing atleast two nights a week and working weekends like everyone else. If you notice that any STM's, Store Managers, or associates are not working nights and weekends you need to call the Excel Line 1-800-622-3986 or the Regional Manager. If you have called the regional manager and nothing has been done, call corporate at 704-357-1000 and ask for Leslie Riggs or Don Hendricks office.

Obviously your DM isn't paying attention and doesn't care. It's very common with companies that are going under and closing. It happened at Sears as well.
