I wonder if with covid and social distancing if they will just call us on the weekend to lay us off.

It’s silly to think they would call you on a weekend. It will be done by a phone call with your manger and HR. They’ll read from a script and you’ll get all your unemployment items in the mail.
It's safe to expect heads to roll this coming Monday, but quietly among top management in each location FIRST!
It can be done by Zoom / WebEx (and has been done that way at other companies).
