That 15k number is from the numbers for layoffs they, upper leaders, came up with during all of August. They’ve known about this and have been planning since early August. The presidents and VPs have known and are in constant contact with a Hayes and RTX corporate, that’s how these businesses operate. Middle management however was kept in the dark.
The 15-20% stills stands and will reflect that lay-off number same with Collins. God help us all
That 20 and 12% are not headcount reductions. Those the cuts to administrative costs and other structures of the business. The RIF numbers are different
The “official” word is 20% Pratt, 12% Collins, but they have been less specific as to what the percentages are at each location. In theory, come may come through unscathed while other may see percentages that are much higher. But it’s anyone’s guess as to what this will look like for us individually. Even where layoffs have taken place, the company has declined to give numbers to the press.
