Idea??? Have !!!sure have a Lot One!!!

  1. Buy oil from Russia la, since no one is buying from them. Buying from them sure reduce cost price.
  1. Can consider to open a plant in North Korea. Since no one officially dare to do business with them, be the first company la, sure have a lot of discount when come to negotiations of land price.

You can watch Titanic - Nearer My God to Thee on YouTube. You will be amazed at how loyal the captain is, but not the crew!

Why are you still here? There’s no point in staying and hoping this project will succeed. It’s a billion-dollar gamble, and you know it won’t work! Everyone should plan for their exit and let the captain go down with the Titanic. Without the crew, the captain will just mess things up on his own.

OMFG, you sound just like an EM dog. “Documenting the slack or lack of support ….”, who is going to be the owner of the document? And the retention period? Store in sharepoint?

I think you need a workshop in Houston to decide such complex initiative.

When it comes to the EADS (Employee Assessment and Development System) and contributions from managers, if they’re truly working hard, their impact should ideally be measurable in terms of team performance, process improvements, and employee development. However, if managers are not making noticeable contributions, it’s worth questioning what they are actually doing and how they’re being held accountable.

There are too many managers without clear responsibilities, it can lead to inefficiencies. Their contributions in the EADS should reflect how they’re adding value—whether through driving strategic initiatives, supporting team members, or delivering results. If that’s not happening, it could be a sign of poor management or a lack of alignment with organizational goals.

Managers should be contributing to the development of their teams, whether by mentoring, setting clear goals, or ensuring that the team has the resources it needs to succeed. This isn’t happening, it may be worth documenting the slack or lack of support or leadership, particularly if it's affecting morale and productivity.

So the senior SLS and lead CL27 are the first targets. Is there any strategy to avoid getting caught in the crossfire?
That sounds rough. If they’re backstabbing each other, no one’s safe. What’s the plan to navigate this?
Sounds like a cutthroat environment. What do you think will happen next?
Looks like everyone’s playing chess, but with a lot of drama.

Do more wrong more… management will only say it is for your exposure or your growth.. stop and think about it, is there anymore growth for this company? After finishing this project where you can go? Will you be promoted to a lead role after this?

If the answer to the above question were NO, why wanna expose yourself risk of failure and blame?

We all know things will definitely goes wrong in project and it will become your mistake and management learnings.

When you kana fire because of that mistake, it will just give your other potential employer a reason LESSER not to hire you. Work smart don’t take in stuff more than you can control..

The more you take the more you are setting yourself up for failure

Management like people like you, work super hard in the name of proving yourself to them. But, behind your back, they highlight your weak points and laugh about it. They justify adding more work to you for the exposure and strengthening your weakness. But when things go wrong, everybody knows who to blame.

I am experiencing a challenging work environment characterized by micromanagement, unfair treatment, and a lack of recognition. Despite my consistent contributions, innovative efforts, and mentoring, my manager holds me to an unfairly higher standard while others seem to avoid accountability. This has led to feelings of demotivation and frustration, especially as my suggestions for improvement have been dismissed, and I am expected to take on additional responsibilities without acknowledgment. I feel like I am being set up to fail, but I am determined to endure until my planned exit, focusing on doing the minimum required. This situation highlights poor management practices and an absence of trust and camaraderie in my workplace.

I am not sure if anyone else is feeling the same way, but may have similar experiences or perspectives to add.

you all know that China one has started commissioning and you can imagine the impact to EM singapore. forget about your boss's bullsh-ting about singapore still a hub etc, all these are just to keep you for the moment before they axe your head.
china one is closer to the market and with low operating cost, more convenient strategic locations, they will win over sg for sure. the thing is, when i see the workfoce here, i feel very sad for them because i think they donno what is going to happen to them soon, by the time they realise, too late liao. for the ang moh masters, they are okay, they will relocate to china and enjoy the luxury life served by another group of slaves, worker bees in sg will be abandon soon with coming SOP1 SOP2 shutdown mathball, and closure of PE PP, selling of refineries and all the aromatics.
if you do not find your way out from this sinking ship here, you will be dumped into any shithole later. I am ready with my letter now, doing it as a new year gift for em. Good luck all.

Singapore should expect to be sold to a Middle Eastern Energy Company in the next 12 to 24 months. Like Joliet, Singapore is on the auction block.

It’s worth noting that SG has set ambitious targets, aiming for a $1 billion contribution by 2030, while the global target stands at $30 billion. Yet, achieving these milestones seems heavily reliant on the efforts of employees.

If management remains resistant to change and unwilling to support upskilling or innovation, how can these targets be realistically achieved? It’s a question of whether leadership is equipping the workforce with the tools and environment needed to succeed—or simply expecting results through the sheer perseverance of employees.

This underscores the importance of taking control of your own career trajectory. While organizations may have lofty goals, employees must often chart their own paths to stay relevant and adaptable in an evolving industry landscape. Don’t wait for others to enable your success; invest in your own growth and position yourself to be part of industries that align with the future.

@popvl+16zEvLP3 because our pay is higher than yours to begin with, so it is better to farm. When outside can pay you 10 or 20% higher, means em has been suppressing your pay, that's the reason why we farm while we let the sls hustle for their pay

no need to flex or grief, all same boat here

If you’re not ranked “Outstanding,” it’s not worth staying here just to accept being underpaid and undervalued. Unless you truly have no other options, why settle for this?
I’m getting ready to move on—stay tuned.

Seriously, what ‘adding value’ are you talking about? This isn’t a McDonald’s Value Meal. First things first, can you remove SLS to begin with? There’s no value being added here. If your role is just to approve leave and conduct 1-on-1 sessions, a chatbot could easily replace you!

I am d-mb stuck when my increment was communicated to me. Initially I have thought is due to my VG ranking that warrants this low amount. After reading all the posts on this board, I realised it isn't my issue. Am I supposed to be grateful that I still have a job in this economic conditions?

I had tot we are still making a profit..
