2019 Union Pacific Railroad was ranked number 1 worst place to work, WHY ? LEAVE YOUR EXPERIENCE HERE TO EXPLAIN.

Zero job security and the CEO is completely untrustworthy.
Another favorite saying from my useless union leader “ I’m only here for the 10th and the 25th” I only want to get paid to do nothing
It’s obvious. Spend a few hours on the job, and you’ll have your answer.
Could it be a large section of employees were furloughed in 2019 and the rest had to do the jobs of two or three guys?
Um the attendance policy is insane! You can lay off 2 weekend days 2 days during the week and have 1 miss call and be terminated. So you could lose your job after missing 5 days of work in 90 days. Most of us don’t get any days off at all so I’m pretty sure this is the worst place to work. I don’t know of anyone who is treated as inhumanity as te@y at this company.
Union pacific is really not a bad place to work other than robot managers wanting to write you up, co-workers that throw you under the bus, layoffs and bumps, more rules than a CIA job, nosey co-workers that are more worried about your life than you are, that one guy that jokes with you but tells the manager everything, managers that expect you to live for the railroad, a union that acts tough but folds like a book, those guys that love a free meal lmao, that guy that thinks they know it all but dont know nothing, thats about all i can think of.
Someone is fishing! I can't understand why anyone is asking why the UP was rated that way. Any current or former UP employee would know that right away.
Well since we're going back in time, 1872 was much worse. And the railroad is still here.
@OP:
Scroll the threads on this website. You’ll find (literally) hundreds of bad experiences described in detail by current and former UP employees, with new ones being added daily.
UP is a truly miserable place to work, and this seems to be so by design.
Constant layoffs
I will repeat what my Union Leader always said, probably on script...
"JUST BE GLAD YOU HAVE A JOB!"
Now that's true yelling.
WHY IS THE OP YELLING AT ME? AND I DONT KNOW WHY BUT THE UP STRAIGHT UP ARTICLE FROM BETH SAID IT WASNT TRUE SO I THINK WE WERE ACTUALLY THE GREATEST NOT THE WORST.
This post smells like another HR dept fishing expedition.
the company treats its employees very hostile with content. I.E. safety issues brought up go dismissed. Always the blame game. In this time of essential workers the company has handsomely profited, with no appreciation for the employees no bonus for employees on the floor, or extra pay.
