Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Red Badge Layoff

Has anyone heard how(when) this will hit red badges.
No one seems to be interested in sharing that info internally..

Just trying to make sense of all of this, this is my first experience with Cisco layoffs.

I'm a red badge that just got cut after 5 and a half years. Today is my last day. Was told I was renewed for another quarter then suddenly told I'm outta here. I know entire red badge teams that got let go too. It's time to look elsewhere for most contractors at Cisco. The job market for skilled remote IT people is actually pretty good right now. Good luck.

No one can share information they don't know because it does vary from contract to contract. However from my experience as a red, including being laid off as a red, I can tell you that cuts generally happen end of quarter when SOWs are approved or your contract end date. As a red you can get cut at any time but this is the time it is most likely. There were already massive red cuts at the end of Q4. That said, layoffs happen all the time at Cisco. I wouldnt stress too much. Depending on your contract type you may be able to find another red role shortly after your layoff. For me I found another role after being laid off at Cisco in 3 months. I dont know if this helps OP but just sharing my general experience.
