Rumors are that in South FL market there’s an outlet/Merchandise Distribution Center coming to the area?
Will this centralize the delivery system similar to depot?
What does that mean to store level delivery coordinators, install coordinators and install managers???

I have no knowledge of what is happening elsewhere but can described what happened in central FL over approximately the last year and a half. First was the opening of a separate ADC/BDC (Appliance Distribution Center/Bulk Distribution Center) and the relocation of large items like appliances and patio furniture/grills from the RDC to the new ADC/BDC. Next was the elimination of store owned/controlled box truck deliveries in favor of third party crews and the opening of a new XDT (aka cross-dock) delivery location. Finally, the store's Genesis software gets modified so that appliance invoices get converted into Sterling orders at time of tender which "hopefully" get assigned to the new XDT location for fulfillment.
All I can tell you is that the transition has not been smooth and we are constantly battling issues that this new system has created. These changes have not affected the install process and one of our store's delivery managers was kept on to help deal with delivery related issues. Flat bed deliveries are still being done by the store. If this is getting ready to happen to you then get ready for a WILD ride (and one you are very unlikely to enjoy).
That’s going to happen at all the stores. Large items, such as appliances, will be delivered from a central warehouse.
