As a previous day shift CSM, I can tell you that we do our jobs. In my store, we were stuck with a ton of responsibility during the day. I had the single handedly manage the entire front end and everything that came with it (because they always neglected to schedule another CSM for pretty much my entire 2-11 shift. No breaks unless management came up to give it to me, lunch on lock out. Management pinning all blame on me, no maintenance scheduled and they mad me pull a cashier.. (even though I only had two registers open thanks to their scheduling) dayshift isn't easy, and they do the best they can (most of the time) sorry that returns get left behind, some of us have more important things to worry about than that.
Are any Walmarts open 24x7?
Get ready for Great Work Place to be unleashed (delayed, due to Covid) – with that comes the eliminaton of CSM positions, Dept. Mgrs, Support Mgrs and some ASM's. There will not be enough positions for people to step down into – so, it will be brutal. Think Hunger Games meet Survivor Island.
get out while you can! I am a 25 plus year associate. Wish I would have left years ago. They lie to your face and tell you that your job isn't going to be eliminated and then guess what, your job is eliminated!
speaking from the outside now but was in for 20+ years as a store manager. Walmart could care less about the long term dedicated manager that you think you are. If your not kissing their a– and f—ing their boss they could care less. You have to be in their realm of Kiss but to make it any progress with this company.
I don't have the time to write the book I should but this type of forum allows me to vent what I know.
Cashiers - Assistant (current) managers should start now and before now looking for a new job to take care of your family.
They already have you on their radar to fire you but it's just a matter of time before it happens - we are talking about the near future of 5 or less years. Read the comments - listen to the rumors that have done this before you and react. Unless you want unemployment ? and thats going away as well when Trump gets re-elected!
Get out while you can. The grass is greener on the other side.
Walmart is an awful company that doesn’t care about their employees. Meijer is coming to town and I see a lot of Walmart employees leaving.
I heard that! Work anywhere but Walmart
They don't care will lie in your face. Was asst mgr 24 years let go in mid shift. Unbelievable
