Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Everybody relax.

Relax. I have been through this twice before. Once when Nortel went out business, and then again when Lucent went out of business.

It’s just the natural course a company takes when it’s been run by id–ts and thieves while shareholders are none the wiser.

What we are experiencing is all part of the natural dying process of a large company.

People who were eligible and didn't get notified can still look into taking it. The missing notification may be a programming glitch because some units are restricted by IPF and other factors, and other units aren't.

So there is some fiddling going on beyond the exceptions and even though they explicitly stated that your manager doesn't know

I worked for startups since the 90s and a little over 10 years ago we were acquired by Cisco and it’s very transparent that this company is going the direction of Nortel because it’s missing that young and lean factor.
