Yes, well, in 2019, I might have agreed with you. But this is 2020. And like Nike is no longer about making shoes, we’re “engaging with the community”, and doing something with bridges.

Does HR make money for the company? Isn’t what this whole ER and LR is all about saving money? I’ll take a sales guy or engineer trying to figure out how to make us money over someone trying to enforce policies for workers trying to make us money. People don’t be fooled money is the bottom line. Someone run some numbers on how much would the company save if we eliminated HR entirely.

Aug 20 is another date to keep in mind when paycut notices go out to the eligible employees. If you don't receive that nor the ER tomorrow, October is going to be the real Hunger Games.
