Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Leading Performane

JJ and his people are all talking about it like it’s going to magically fix the dramatically poor management we have had through the years. Can someone explain to me how this is going to fix anything?

You can't use the word or qualification of "Leadership" in Chevron. There is no such a thing sorry. Is a pile of mubojumbo sh– if you ask me. When they get a true external leader, they manage to either fire him/her or burry them. Ask me how I know. I am buried but I don't mind the fat paycheck. I put in 10% and I still look better than any of these Chevron mofos. So life is god for me....

Curiously, Chevron always believes it’s ‘home-schooled’ style of management development (no outside hires, useless consulting companies, brain-washed high-pots) somehow works. It’s the momentum of the company that keeps it going, not the Keystone Kops style of in-bred management. As we’ve seen, all they do is pad their retirement accounts.

It’s simple, if you do not know how you compare to you competitor then you do not know just how good you are

I heard its NW’s brainchild. Since ambu was such a great success (ha ha), we are going to turn all of chevron into ambu.

Simple cut out a lot of expenses and keep paying dividend. Concentrate on most profit generating businesses, sell off the worst performers
