Rumor also has it that some global offices are pushing for employees to burn their PTO so they dont have to pay it to the employee upon termination. Can anyone confirm if they are being forced to take leave in APAC or Europe?

The reason you have to take PTOs is because everybody is waiting to take them later and you cannot have all the employees on leave at the end of the year.

Layoffs? Yes but more like December, stop spreading panic too fast. ;P It's to short time period to take a reasonable decision who to layoff now. The next wave will be mutilating the operational capability so they still have to decide which finger they don't need anymore... unless a miracle happens, bit still - end of q4, not Oct...
Figures. We have no one to sell anything to, including BAU so nothing to do until later next year.

Regardless of revenue, there was going to be another round anyway. When you have huge re-orgs, those people will always want their own people running their teams. Thats just the way re-orgs go.
