To the folks with inside scoop where do ya'll think LRs will hit the hardest? I'm hoping they aren't focused strictly on the AMER region as we tend to have the laws that easiest benefit the employer making it so easy to fire people. Hoping it's world wide to make it more fair. Wishing it didn't happen at all! Need to move to France where it's nearly impossible to get fired and have 35 hour work weeks. Screw this c-ap.

Sales, marketing, and anything to do with hardware. If you watched the video they spoke about the future: services, subscription, and software.
Who knows. I also expect they may exit some businesses.
Alphareta is where i heard there would be big downsizing
Agreed they never test and then expect us to fix it. If you bring up this issue, nothing is done.
Cheap doesn't mean much when you have to spend more money to remediate than it would have cost doing it right the first time. I've done extensive analysis of "total cost" and we come out way behind using offshore resources (except for providing support for in country customers). Penny wise, pound foolish.
They don't test their work. If we did such shoddy work consistently we'd be fired. They make no effort to do anything but the absolute minimal. Many bright folks that could do better, but choose not to.
Yep I'm in IT and offshore screws up the work and we have to fix it. I get that the people over there are dirt cheap and all but the quality is sub par at best
India won't get touched. For some odd reason they appear to be immune. If they were effective I'd understand that, but they aren't. Work product coming from India is terrible and we have to clean up their messes all the time. Wonder if the ELT ever gets to hear those stories?
When we are mostly gone (middle aged native born Americans) the ELT will be in for a big shock when everything falls apart.
Listen to the earnings call. It will give you some good clues.
