TM has said proximity is over staffed and they want to reduce the numbers by end of the year. Didn’t say how that would be done. By attrition or what? There seems to be a doom and gloom feeling around the company. Anyone else has any info?

Tell Herman Cains family it’s a hoax! And, the other 162,000 families who have lost loved ones to this virus! My job pays well, but it’s not a great job, its terrible! This was a great company, was a leader in the industry. Now, just following the leader, doing the same as all the other insurance companies . GEiCO will soon be the number one auto insurance company. State Farm can only blame themselves
even with the COVID hoax this company is a lean mean MACHINE. Feel fortunate you have a great job with a great company
Yep, cut, cut, cut, now look at Iowa storm this week, 20,000 claims and counting, cat leaders are flat out telling agents to warn clients to not even expect a first contact from claims for 30 days, you read that correctly, 30 days. Yes sir, keeping the promise.
The In your face Social
Engineering disguised by other names is hard to take. I don’t even know why we have agents as SalesForce and social scoring and corrupt pricing and data Rating has taken over. The whole industry has lost all Integrity calling it “digital” and tech and transformation.
HR practices and systems are deceiving
SF trimmed 11 thousand employees in the last 4 years. Leadership was significantly reduced at a higher portion than non-leadership.
The only area that hasn’t gone through a restructuring and streamlining is underwriting, and that will come in the next couple of years with PLM.
When you have 60,000 employees, those leadership numbers aren’t that high, in fact we have a fairly lean leadership structure (other than understanding). In my area, we have managers with 16-25 and an incredible amount of expectations. It’s not a peachy as many of you would think.
I read in a message from mt that we have 7000 people in leadership Positions at the company. I fell out of my chair. Trim the fat.. we know who is really doing the work.
I am a proximity AEA and can’t wait till they fire me or eliminate my job. The incompetent people that run this company have destroyed it and are too stupid and arrogant to realize it. We are not here to keep the promise anymore we are here to generate numbers on a matrix set up for you and the company”s failure. The only reason this company has made money in the last 10 years is the stock market and when that tanks so will this company as they deserve to. They took the best years of my life and now they render us useless but they will eventually find out they failed. So I say get on with eliminating estimators all together as I am done but will not give them the satisfaction of me quitting because that’s exactly what they want.
Proximity Auto Estimatics may be over staffed in many areas that aren't considered major metropolitans. Many AEAs in those small markets are doing virtual work forAWC or out of state Vsupp or Pocket Est. If the company decides to consolidate those jobs to the hubs, they would be able to eliminate many of those field positions as many people won't move.
I'm sure they will evaluate the workforce and make adjustments. I fully expect post Covid-19 world will not be the same as Pre Covid. Field staffing will depend on shops adaptation to virtual estimate. Shops don't mind doing virtual inspection for small stuff, but I don't know if they willing to do the AEA's job on more complex inspections. If the insurance company can convince non program shops then they will suceed at shifting the cost of doing business to the shops.
I’m referring Auto Estimatics Proximity.
It does not surprise me to hear that there are more chiefs than indians. Maybe a reduction of team managers may be good. Have the managers reapply for their jobs, and demote the incompetent ones.
Not sure if you are referring to Fire Proximity or Estimatics Proximity. A reduction would be based on the market needs as the company is pushing for more virtual work.
If you are at midpoint or above, be careful! They will push poor performance, make your life miserable and force you to quit. That's their way of keeping the promise so they can push Jake.
Good! They need to get rid of most of the lazy fat in the company. Lean and mean is best for the customer. Too many managers too.
