No need to worry... you will just get fired on a ZOOM call anyway. Enjoy! :)

It will be probably be done via a webex call scheduled from some useless VP who will drop the axe to an entire group..how personal :( For those who are eligible for ER you are the lucky ones we just got a C#$#PY package.

It is so unfortunate that LR's often affect the US more. I know of teams in India who are nothing but a piece of c-ap and still don't get affected.

Well, what if I don't accept the registered mail. I tell the mail delivery guy (Fedex/UPS/etc) that the person on that mail package is not longer at this address, please return that mail back to sender.

Only if it's sent "signature required". I said registered mail. Since when does FedEx/UPS/etc. actually ring the bell? They drop it on your porch or put it in your mailbox and walk/drive away and don't knock or ring the bell.

They just have to send the info to the address they have on file for you, i.e. where your paychecks/pay stubs would be mailed if you didn't get them electronically. It's on you to keep your address up-to-date, so telling the delivery person that you don't live there doesn't help you. They make a reasonable effort to reach you.

I am the same guy who wants to avoid the LR by not responding to mgr email or accepting registered mail. Now what if they call my number but can't leave a VM cuz my VM is full? I will fill both my home/work number with VMs so no one can leave a VM. I will disconnect/change my cell #.
If they can't reach me, they can't LR me.

If it will be online, I wont respond to mgr's 1:1 invite then. If I can't be reached, I can't be LR'ed.

I know that's just sarcasm, but for the stupid out there that may believe you:

Then they'll mail you your documents registered mail. When you don't sign it and return it in a timely fashion, you'll get the minimum package and leave all the perks behind that they offer you for agreeing not to take them to court for age discrimination, etc.

Won't do you any good. Plus, they'll just terminate your badge & VPN access and your accounts. Then, if you don't turn in the laptop, corporate credit card, and any other Cisco property, they can report you to the police as stealing company property.

anyone remember the story of the guy in italy, worked for a year or two getting paid cause they couldnt get in touch with him to fire him, expert level. and No one has gotten the LR info in person, thats circa 2005, last 10 years always been over webex. If you boss stops bothering you, then worry and never take vacation, its a nice paycheck.

Use your 15 min (or less) wisely. They are well scripted and NOT allowed to deviate from script. Everything is virtual now...duh.

if it is a 1:1 invite early in the day chance are higher. They dont want employee to work half day (if they do any) for half day and then say bye bye to him/her.

All cisco offices in the US are closed, so the 1:1 will be via phone/webex online.
