It’s a global economy, and current environment in the US is not favorable for companies that have global footprint. A lot of other companies are also moving their plants to other parts of the world to survive and prepare for the future.

Might as well get used to jobs heading east, as in Singapore and India. Just look at the hierarchy of upper management. More and more dot-heads in the upper ranks and they all have buddies who have manufacturing connections and their slave labor will work for pennies a day compared to the U.S. workers.
Hal used to be a family-oriented business but no more. They don't care about U.S. workers at all. They hang signs like "our people make the difference" while they lay you off.
They lay people off because of their age or they're not someone's buddy instead of their skill or knowledge. Seen it too many times.
