Thread regarding Noble Energy Inc. layoffs

Volunteer for severance?

I know this was posed pre buyout, but I’m wondering if we’ll have the option to request a buyout. I’m ready to move on from O&G.

Wow. Look at the responses to a troll who obviously is not a Chevron employee. No wonder we are going through layoffs. No secret there, lol.

You’re smart to move on from oil and gas. Especially if you’re young. It’s dying...
Get your severance and make the transition.

When chevron announced they were reducing their global staff by 6000. (Prior to acquisition). All chevron employees were required to reapply for their job as part of their right sizing directive.

Typically closer to deal close date. But with COVID roaring back in the fall, they may elect not to have this as an option. Friends from Fieldwood were laid off with out any severance.... pretty bad out there.
