Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Sad Situation

It's really a sad Situation that everyone uses their energy here posting bad and negative comments about a company that truly could care less for your success. Now don't get me wrong, I despise this company, but you folks need to let it be and find your worth. I left on my choice. I didn't get laid off. I am as happy as I can be. Yes, 28 years I thought Alltel/Windstream was my savior and retirement. Don't put your dreams on a company that won't let you live your dreams out.

It's really sad situation that someone who already LEFT Windstream would be on here putting down people who are SAFELY venting because mgmt/Board won't listen or be honest with them. Why o you even CARE ??????

Not sure where your NetOp manager gets his information. Our ILEC areas are so busy we can’t keep up. Everyone is on 10 hour mandatory days and/or mandatory 6 days a week. This is the case in most areas in PA,NY and OH.

My NetOps Director said the same thing about the ILEC side. Techs are the highest paid people in those small towns and have no work to do. Never any installs as the entire town is already customers and they outsource their repairs. He says getting out from under that union is their top priority right now

"If you’re Working at Win you either got fired from your last job or you’ve been here so long there’s no point in leaving."

A lot of Windstream ILEC people live in small, shrinking towns in rural areas. Their current job is the best paying job there is and there's little else >$10/hour.

They're not going to move because they're loyal to someone locally – their kid in the high school, elderly parent, etc.

I wasn't with Windstream but I was stuck in the same no win situation until my wife lost her good job. Then we both moved

Yeah, i cant seem to find this type of real content on steam. Plus you dont even need an account to post, how much energy do you need to post?

So if you're gone, and happy - then why look at this website and post comments? For some of us, this is the only way we get information.

Sales teamS will be worked out of the business and replaced by the indirect channel.

If you’re Working at Win you either got fired from your last job or you’ve been here so long there’s no point in leaving. Don’t ge me wrong, there’s a portion of workers collecting a check until they get fired.
