@5fez+16lbUi0g Im not sure about that.
My guess however is that they dont have the resources to do anything right except micro-manage employees and try and get as much productivity as they can. It’s miserable there right now.
Xerox is going after blood in this case, as they should.
How enforceable non-compete contracts are really depends on what state you are in. Some states are more pro-business (i.e. Texas) and other are more pro-employee (i.e. California). However reading thru these post it sounds like they are cutting cost and staff which probably includes in-house legal support. At most they probably only have the bandwidth to send a letter if they think you are violating it. I highly doubt in the Covid19 world we live in now that much time will be spent chasing down individual sales reps. Good Luck!
I could literally back a Uhaul up to my Core’s office and load it up with machines and drive away. No one would stop me.
It’s a free for all. No one is watching. Take all the customers you want and take the pens and coffee cups on your way out the door!
I think Xerox has its hands full right now- doubt they are spending much time enforcing non-competes. Also the HR reps at the cores or now with Xerox direct. There is no one to facilitate or manage non-compete violations. It’s not like the managers that are left are going to deal with it- they have their hands full with service issues and trying to make sales in the covid environment. It’s everyone for themselves now- take their customers!!!
They don’t care. This company is getting ready for something based on icahns activity. He wants his money. He’ll get it if he has to stop this company for parts.
Xerox can take their non compete and shove it where the sun don’t shine
Speaking from experience, I left Xerox several months ago and got right to work taking accounts away. So far, I’ve taken 9 customers and received nothing from Xerox.
Non-competes are impossible to enforce and never stand up in court.
You can’t keep a person from making a living in their own field.
Plus, the state that Xerox is in, trying to enforce a non-complete would be laughable.
