And interestingly the people in my “briefing group” are not the same people currently on my team on the org chart. Which again begs the question - wtf was the point of this reorg?

I really hope these HR meetings are not just an attempt to boost morale and continue to drink the cool-aid until transaction closes.
Employees deserve to know information pertaining to them, who’s staying, who’s let go, what effective date.
Any update on what was provided during briefing? Much different than the package provided to employees that were severed?
I received a similar meeting invite. However, it includes all members currently under our director.
I don't think the CoC meeting you are grouped with has anything to do with that group of people being laid off or anything, but I guess we will see. My group is in my entire team L1-L3 and I don't think all of us would be let go or all of us would be transitioned to Chevron either. I think they really are just grouping people by team or multiple teams put together. They are probably informing every Noble employee through these groups. I have about 14 people in my meeting with 3 HR people.
In TX, yes. Everywhere else, not as deep.
I mean, they’re going to re staff Israel or the DJ in a matter of weeks? Not reasonable.
Does anyone actually think chevron isn’t going to cut 90% of nobles staff.
Communication from management has been poor to dismal. All I know is that I was invited to a meeting next week with a number of HR folks I’ve never heard of, to discuss the transition plan. A number of people on my team were left out, but a number of others were added in - all based on location as opposed to team/job/etc.
For those of us on the outside looking in, can anyone explain what the briefing groups are and what is being communicated about closing, transition, etc?
Here’s the thing - I’m in TX. A number of our teams were consolidated to be all of USO. And none of the DJ folks, who should theoretically be on a team and in this meeting, are missing from this invite. Instead we have other TX folks from adjacent teams in our cluster. DJ has the same thing going on I’m told.
To recap - the reorg combined the USO into consolidated groups, but this meeting with HR is very regional. And is lumping together people by region. I’m guessing this doesn’t bode well for TX folks.
The people in your meeting are not in group? Sounds suspicious to me.
So CVX doesn't have to make the cuts. If you don't think the re-org was done with CVX blessing I don't know what to tell you.
