Okay, so now that we have officially started, we have no Email, no access to input "Wellness Checks" and are schedules are not to be aligned with the Executives schedules....yet we are still expected to do the same duties??? I'm just happy I didn't have to fill out my Goals for my 2020 review in February. Oh Macy's SMH.

I heard there were no Captains either..... but yet the people who were told they were “captains” still think they have authority over others, even though the position doesn’t exist! Why are they telling employees this?? Anyone have REAL information??
I was offered a Captain position in AYS. Previously a Jewelry Lead. The change was made in the system but as AYS store associate. When I asked for an explanation I was told there are no Captain positions! Would like to hear about any others who experienced the same.
Still have to attend planning, be on calls, walk black box, update all the mannequins by myself, floor moves and solve all the visual problems in the store. Exactly the same job 20% less pay, less vacation and not replacing my trimmer that left but right away they replace merchandisers. So not fair Macy’s. SO NOT FAIR!!!
I would check your paystub this week. A lot of adjustments took place last week and should now should be completed. Emails, rate of pay, your PTO's ( from days now to hours) etc....
My pay stayed the same and my responsibilities were lessened. I can't complain. I guess I was paid so low as a red badge that I still in range for a highly paid hourly associate.
Pay did not stay the same. I took % decrease but still expected to do the same job.
Last I checked your pay stayed the same but the title changed? Don’t like it, go get another job in this market right now. So many people just straight up complaining. I don’t know of any other business that can afford to lose 7b and not change besides the government.

It is illegal to list someone as management if they're not!!! Do they understand that? If they're not paying you management salary or give you a title as management it should not be there.
Everything is messed up right now but slowly being resolved. If issues are not resolved this week, have your MBA submit askhr requests and or people trak requests for you.
That's what they do: re-adjust a position giving you less power, you work within those limits, then they complain why you didn't work outside those limits.
Oh, and when you start working outside those limits, it's STILL a problem because you "over-reached" your responsibilities. How can you NOT get stressed out? Perfect example of a position "in name only".

LOL, right?! Well I eventually got my Email back but it is in the older Outlook format. (not the preferred Email format that has all the "bells and whistles" all on the page) It is the simpler format that is clean and easy to read. Yes, hopefully somebody will realize that we will need access to certain functions to perform our "Captain" duties. And yes, still am going to meetings and taking calls like an "Executive" ...now I'm SMH.
