Look at your pay stub it’s broken down on the last check 7/24

You must personally enroll in COBRA w/in 60 days of job separation. M doesnt pay for COBRA, they give you (as part of severance) 3 mos worth of $$ for the benefits you were enrolled in as a colleague. If you think thet failed to include it, then read your direct dep paystub in Insite to see the breakdown of the severance amt.

Has anyone gotten the cobra lump sum as well? I received the severence pay but I thought there was a separate deposit for the cobra.

I had my personal information up to date on Insite, received all the other emails regarding closures, black lives matter, layoffs and the severance email but not the actual severance agreement. I finally got someone on the colleague support line who told me that it was sent to an old email I abandoned years ago. She went ahead and updated the address and told me to expect the severance agreement in two days.

I received nothing. It was quicker to contact Google Support and recover the old email account.

And there was the email! If you're not sure what it looks like, it opened in a program called Adobe Sign. It's over a hundred pages long with lots of HAVE A LAWYER READ THIS warnings. There's a spot where you sign digitally. Then there's a long list of Macy's stores, job titles and the ages of the people who've been let go.

So my advice is to think back to any email addresses you have had while working at Macys- gmail, yahoo, hotmail, aol, etc and try to unlock those.

Mine came to personal email, but only because I heeded the crucial admonition to make sure that my PERSONAL email is the primary & appears in my profile's "my contact info" in MyHR. If yours isnt appearing there, then they cant send you your Severance email (which requires 3 places to be signed on the doc).
