I work in HR at BB&B the surveys are meant to track more of the problem employees. Even the anonymous surveys we have IT pull up the email address it was sent from or IT can also pull your computers ISBN number associated to you.
FYI, any problem employees we can also go through your laptop and open and read work emails. Sometimes even personal emails if you your never sign out of your personal email account. We read and print for our records; emails, teams messages, skype messages/videos or text messages to your coworkers. Both work laptop and work phone.
We have fired employees and presented them with printed copies of their email or text message as evidence. They then scream this is an invasion of my rights and privacy. It would be if it wasn't done on BB&B equipment.
