They also have the Baskin Robbins franchisees by the ball because they overcharge for the ice cream that franchises are forced to buy providing a kickback to Baskin Corp. the whole thing stinks of monopoly...

Monopoly? There are other ice cream shops and other sources for Baskin Robbins to buy ice cream from. When you buy a Baskin Robbins franchise, you agree to get your ice cream from who Baskin Robbins tells you to buy in from. In theory, Baskin Robbins should be getting it at better prices then a mom and pop local place, but like a lot of companies, they stick it to the franchisees as a way to make money. Dean Foods used to the same thing with corporate agreements to buy caps, resin, chemicals, etc. Money made it's way onto the corporate books due to the volume buys, but it cost a lot of plants more than they were paying using their own vendors. Not a monopoly, just the way some corporations work.
