Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

As jobs are lost in Homeoffice, hiring goes on in India

Over 2000 new positions are being created in Chennai and 385 people in Bangalore. So while Walmart lays off people in the United States, they shift the tech workforce to India. Just like Vangard. Vanguard announced they are outsourcing a big hunk of IT to Infosys and will transfer 1300 employees to Infosys.

Why is the outsourcing not in the news? This is detrimental to jobs in the USA!

Sam Walton would be rolling over in his grave. Granted the man was a ruthless b–tard in business...he was an American WWII ruthless b–tard. Walmart corporate has turned into Nepotism central at the Bentonville HO.

News Flash* Dougie and Johnny: Nepotism is not going to win the war with Target and Amazon. Your Y-o-Y profit has decreased substantially; more so with each passing year. I'm surprised Stuart and Rob Walton are letting you erode their future. Bezos is kicking your A–. Now you've let go the majority of your folks in e-commerce who happen to be graduates of the nations top universities and built a reputation in the elite tech world that Walmart is not the place to work. Hahahaha! I guess that's what a University of Tulsa degree gets you.

Its another case of Walmart talking the talk but not walking the walk.
All of the hype of Made in America doesn't count if the end result is outsourcing your employees off of U.S. soil. Gives a whole new meaning to Save Money Live Better. Sam Walton is turning over in his grave.

Tyson also recently laid off a few hundred IT people and outsourced a large portion to Infosys. Seems to be the way things are going.

So now Walllyworld buys all the c-ap they sell from China and sends all their jobs to India. That leaves America with nothing but the clean up operations. Why does a global economy always leave America with nothing but the contents of the outhouse basement?

This informs me that people are quite free to work in India at Indian wages. In fact, quite a few people go "home" to do just that.

Most large corporations are outsourcing their IT. Verizon rebadged 2500 people to Infosys in 2018.
