Chuck and QEP facilitated the shale blunders, which no doubt enriched a great many cronies. Chuck only looked like Mr. Rogers. He's a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Shall we put the Chuck myth to rest, along with Noble Energy?

Just an FYI - - - - Check Davidson was a nice man...but Chuck brought on board the execs DS, SC, KF, AJ (after AH), LR, and on and on and all the other BP/Amoco/Vastar teammates that only worked for much larger companies that ran it like a BP...when we asked why are we spending money like it will never end or do you think we should build a $139 million dollar office building or the breakthrough 2014 GOAL of stating that we were going to double in size every five years eventually became the Red Outcomes that fell apart as we moved through 2014...what a joke...and what about buying Marcellus and selling for a loss and how many billions were pumped into it, then Rosetta and the best of all CWEI which both brought on debt in addition to 4 Billion commitment for Leviathon...DEBT DEBT DEBT DEBT and mor DEBT...great forethought!

Got to admit it, the chevron deal was breakthrough thinking by the executives and the Board. S—s for employees but well played hand. It’s a bittersweet exit strategy buy seasons foxes that saw the writing on the wall.

If I see another propaganda video with BS or DS grinning ear to ear saying how good a deal the Chevron acquisition is, I am going to puke. Zero respect for the executive stealership team. They stole the possible future of Noble as a company and the immediate stability of most of its employees. There is no "I" in team, but there is most certainly a whole lot of me, me, me among that group. The arrogance to think they can put lipstick on a pig and sell it to the employee population as a beauty queen is a perfect example of their poor leadership skills, lack of strategic thinking, and self-preservation nature. I hope they enjoy their golden parachutes and the after taste of the kool-aid they have been serving.

What’s clear is there was no genuine plan on the part of leadership. It was chasing whatever the stock market wanted to see that quarter. Gas plays? YES. More average in TX? We have to buy overpriced assets!

And obviously there was never any planning or strategy for lower commodity prices. Let’s just leverage ourselves to the max and it’ll be fine! I mean look what Chesapeake is doing!
