The air conditioning is horrible in stores! They tell customers they are turning it up to filter the air out to protect for covid but that’s b—s—. When was the last time any of the filters in the vents were even cleaned?! And they shut the ac off at 5:30. Having to wear a mask in stuffy 80degree heat is no way to treat employees and customers!

I looked into OSHA and it just seemed so hard.. They want some evidence, they want other people to sign on with you... If you do anonymous you drop to the bottom of the priority list.. It felt like it favored the employer. If anyone has advice please post bc I believe we have black mold and we never get HVAC people.

That's what happens when you layoff 85+% of your engineers, who would normally take care of it. You now only have 1 Chief engineer that takes care of 8-12+ stores that are all are all spread out in an area of 100+ miles. No overtime or overnight stays allowed either. Guarantee that the facilities are going to crumble with no one to provide maintenance and repairs.

You're all wrong!! The AC does in fact work. All you have to do is be there when there is a big visit by the top brass.
I'm SOOO glad I'm outta there, at least now the only heat I deal with is from outside.
Have the "AST" call the Macys Store Operations Center, or have them open a temperature work order in EAM. This will guarantee it is looked at.
AC cost money and Macy's doesn't have a whole lot of that right now. But make sure you've got that mask on to trap the sweat droplets. Safety last!
