Yes, because they will be out of business!

Not all of the kept favorites work on Thanksgiving. I know associates that volunteered to work Thanksgiving night and then also worked Black Friday and then got laid off.
Lol oh they will be open. They are still deciding but definitely leaning towards opening. Why would we think anything different. They do NOT care about us. All other stores are closed so where are all these No mask wearing people going to go>>>Macy’s the only place that’s open.
It would be industry s–c-de not too .
Follow the true retail leaders and let your so called “valued associates “ enjoy a peaceful day with their families.
Interesting no mention of The Parade ..
How will you social distance that ?
And those pan over shots of the great JG front & center surrounding by lackies and s— ups .
Bye Felicia
@2osf+16aYIxIt - I agree. There was very little business during that sale.
As for being open on Thanksgiving, other Macy stores only did it to follow Herald Square. From what I understand, if a store is attached to a mall, that store may have to pay a fine for being open on a holiday like Thanksgiving. Because they made the money back it wasn't a problem. This year will definitely be different. Of course, mob mentality will rule and crowds will come, then - SURPRISE!! - another pandemic virus lockdown!!!
Of course they will close, they can't afford to pay their vendors and they certainly can't afford to pay time and a half plus holiday pay at this point.
@1fcg+16aYIxIt Macy's will most likely close on T-day. They were just waiting to see what everyone else is doing first. They don't know how to be a leader in anything.
Black Friday in July? You really think that was a crowd magnet? Really? Unbelievable.
There were no more people in the store for that event than any other promotional period we've ever had this entire year. 👎
Give them a chance. I think you will see Macy's closed on Thanksgiving Day.
At the present time, there isnt enough staff to work on Thanksgiving and black Friday. One person on each floor both days...............
Will Santa move from the North Pole?
Well Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and Kohl's just announce that Thanksgiving day they will be close. I think Macy's will be the only retail store open on Thanksgiving day. 🦃
Well if it is gonna be open would you wanna risk you’re health to be working that night ? Job ain’t worth it.
Disgusting they were ever open on thanksgiving.
Greed and look where it got them .
Once beloved and cherished - honorable to work for .
Now , disgraceful & embarrassing
Based on their current "steps to keep colleagues and customer safe" (or lack thereof), and the most recent "Black Friday in July" sale, i'd answer that with a resounding NO.
Hopefully Macy's closes on Thanksgiving day, but this pandemic has change the landscape in retail. We never know what's going to happen this fall and winter. Black Friday has been a tradition for alot of retail stores. This October we will find out if Macy's open on Thanksgiving day.
I certainly hope so. This holiday season is going to EXCEEDINGLY difficult, and i'd bet everything that the company won't even make it till H'21. Callsem as I seesem
wow.... random.. bigger fish are on the fryer
Of course. Macy’s will still be around come Thanksgiving! Talk about low morale ... a little positivity, please. But yes, I think most retailers are remaining closed all day this year. Truthfully, I liked ‘Black Friday’ better when it actually started on Friday; not Thursday afternoon/evening. I hope it’s something that we go back to beyond the pandemic.
Something I don't care about anymore.
From what i saw on the "big day calendar"....It seems so. So yes. 👍
Yes I believe ao
The more appropriate question is Will Macy’s be around for Thanksgiving?
