Thread regarding L Brands layoffs

We’re better than this...

We’ve been hearing about this announcement during the last week of July for a long time. No background information at all, just vague information about an upcoming reorganization. I know it’s a challenging situation but you need to do better.

You made everyone wait and allowed torturous speculation to occur from associates across the business. It’s finally the last week of July, a corporate message should have gone out today, plain and simple. It is really disappointing how poorly management has handled this situation. All we can do is hope we are pleasantly surprised with the outcome.

Dear Lbrands...Maybe spending millions on whole new distribution center (Dc6 Easton) during a known time of restructuring and layoffs was a really stupid idea! The other 8 buildings with wasted space couldn’t suffice?

Favoritism is rampant on the VSL design team. It doesnt matter if you make product that sells. Management there is the worst.

Yes, it’s funny how the letters from leadership were WEEKLY up until THIS WEEK!!!

Hold our hand alittle, we kept you afloat for the last 5 years!!

It’s ironic that no news organization has reported these layoffs. Why? I even called and still they haven’t reported it. I sure hope Lbrands handles lay-off packages better than the way their communications have been. Not a peep from anyone in fact several VP’s took vacation this week, coincidence? Not likely!

Unfortunately rumors spread very quickly due to mid management being extremely careless and unprofessional. Unfortunately L brands need to clean house and restructure and bring new talent to shift the culture and get back on track. I am sorry that so many talented folks are waiting and possibly about to lose their jobs on this exonomy. I am assuming, Favoritism is also a big factor in keeping the decision quiet until it’s time.

Goes to show they don’t really care about the associates. I’ve turned down job opportunities in the past because I had loyalty to Lbrands but even if I am spared this week, I know that Lbrands only cares about profits
