I didn't even get the courtesy of an merting invite. I got ambushed with a cold call at about 8:30am on 10/13 from two of my middle managers (they were 3 and 4 levels above me)

At least my manager had the decency to let me know a week in advance and have a genuine dialogue before the HR charade.

Zoom call and that would be it. Manager will read the stupid script from HR and then they will close the call without answering any questions you may have. They will tell you "you'll be receiving something in the mail with all the details." Then they will close the call. I think HR has told them to just follow the script and don't say anything else.

Or your mgr can lie to you, say it is a conf call with your outside customer. You join the call and see it’s your mgr, her mgr and HR. Classy huh?
