Thread regarding Pratt and Whitney layoffs

Why not be transparent?

With cuts coming why can’t our upper management be forthcoming? These are the exact things that cause low morale and distrust. Why leave us wondering when it will happen and worrying if we are on that list? How are we supposed to focus when we are fearful of losing our livelihood?

To the original poster. It sounds to me like you just started working at Pratt last week. Do you not live, breathe, and see the lack of culture and empathy in that place?? Please don't tell me that you've been working there 10, 20, 30+ years and you are now asking these silly questions. Did you really never see that you are just a number? Have you not had friends/co-workers who were unfairly pushed out or treated unfairly in all of your time there? Come on, wake up!

"I like the idea of transparency. The company promotes that, honesty,...integrity, and a the most forthright ethical behaviors..."

More sarcasm, I see.

This is a company that builds equipment to hurt and k–l people, not Cheers.

I like the idea of transparency. The company promotes that, diversity, honesty, integrity, and a the most forthright ethical behaviors from its employees. So we must act accordingly and wait patiently for the layoffs to come. Work diligently and responsibility until the time is over if in fact it is our turn to leave.
