I remember the exorbitant days at CHK when a 6-figure salary was standard if you were competent, along with $10,000 plus in yearly bonuses, not to mention 600 or so CHK stock grants yearly. I managed to put my daughter through college with funds like that flowing in. It was fun selling those shares at an average strike price of about $29 per share. Oh how things have changed. One thing remains constant, however: an job at CHK is a temporary position; nobody retires from there with 20 or 30 years of service.
Tricked us again. Now they will drag it out for a month like last time
lol. Well said
It seems the OP gets a kick writing this post and would love to see CHK burn to the ground, and all the employees go to the house.
If seeing a company fail and people get fired gets you excited, go protest in traffic.
Why is today unlikely?
100% certain it will happen within a few months. Today is unlikely.
70-30
How certain are you that lay-offs are happening today?
