For the past few weeks every Thurs to Sat, Phx has had up to 6 hr wait for cars due to overbooking and no cars, extremely short staffed, long lines and working 12 hr days and making no commission because of this. We were rehired back to make money not get heart attacks, the stress is unbelievable. Just wondering if any other city is going through this?

I work at Avis in Southeast area. Thrifty is in shambles. Either have no cars or giving away pick up trucks to reservations who have cars or making ppl wait 2-3 hrs.
Hertz side I think they are raising rates bc hertz counter maybe half line size say Avis or enterprise
No caps on any vehicle class anymore. They want 100% rented. Just wait till Thanksgiving and Xmas. With no new cars ever coming again, we all know how this turns out. We asked our GM about it and he just said "It is what it is"
MlLW is on/off. Mainly because of no cars but not a lot of stress because staff starting to and/or continuing to follow management lead and not care
Pretty much the same everywhere. Now that the fire sale of fleet is nearly complete the goal is to drive rentable utilization as high as possible.
