Recover? Recover to what? 2010? Real question is if it can make it till end of 2021 at which point it someone MIGHT buy for a few bucks ... I doubt it.

Very much agree with 3ezx post. Assuming the world returns to some sort of normalcy in the next 18 months the Xerox will start to look attractive again a– business proposition for takeover or merger, will be interesting to see how the product portfolio develops. I'm out of Xerox for 2 years, just click on here out of morbid curiosity. The value of contribution has deteriorated quit a lot, I don't see any inside scoops, guess as the population diminishes there will be less leaks.

I don’t think it will “recover” to what it was 30 years ago, but I think a lot of folks posting here also assume that there will be some big “bang” of a finish.

There’s a certain catharsis in that - if you have some explosive end, it validates your pain. It validates every thought you had about the company.

It won’t happen like that, and I think it’s bad for you (a general “you,” here) to hold onto that pain. Some folks need to move on from Xerox and know that it’s just a company. It never loved you. You won’t get any satisfaction in the (relatively) slow burn of value extraction that corporate raiders do. (Slow being over several years - not decades.)

It's a goon squad that's running the company. Personal greed rules above all else.

To last poster: the reference (I didn’t write it) wasn’t because there are some Italians involved. It has to do with “mob mentality”. The only well known mob is the mafia. The behaviors - the installation of Iconic board, the HP deal, the threats, the lies to the investor community are very mob like.

Wow 1qna+16UA2mHG and all the others praising the post - he lost all credibility when he equated being italian to the mafia. Are you serious? What other stereotypes would you all like to perpetuate today? GTFOH. Go back to the 1950s where you all belong

not on their own, we need to merge or be bought. The whole industry needs to consolidate.

Exactly! If Mafia was involved... this a little mess would be... ahh you know...taken care of.

Please don’t insult the Mafia by linking them to Xerox, historically the Mafia would have insured revenue continuity and growth by adding viable, successful & diverse technologies/products to their portfolio. Also don’t appreciate the insinuation to JV being Mafia because of his Italian last name. The Mafia doesn’t run their businesses with losers at the helm.

Hope the talented and dedicated people land on their feet somewhere better but hope just as much that xerox goes down. A Truly awful company that may actually beat ricoh in epic race to the bottom.

@1qna+16UA2mHG- Believe this is bang on. Could n’t most (all) of these same characteristics apply to others in this industry?

@1qna+16UA2mHG - thanks for eloquently coving all the points - that about sums it up.
Bye bye bye XRX

Not possible. No competitive edge. Commoditization of the technology. Rapidly declining industry. Corruption at many levels. Lackluster unmotivated employee talent base. Inability to attract fresh quality talent. Anchored down by bad acquisitions. Poor reputation in the eyes of CIOs. Mafia controlled board. Crook CEO.

If by recover you mean getting to a point where employees are valued and treated with respect, the answer is no if Carl remains as de facto chairman. Will Xerox reverse the swirling revenue decline? Not if John V’s motivation continues to be to pleasure Carl and collect a salary while essentially doing nothing to improve it.

I hope Xerox recovers and the employees that are left will be working for a thriving company. I may have tapped out a long time ago but wish only the best for those remaining.

To the last poster: it is id–tic to wish that. The only people who get “hurt” by a total collapse are average everyday workers. The people that caused this mess (NOT John V) have not been hurt financially or professionally. UB is actually CEO of another company right now, god help them...
