Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Bonus on exit - yes, but how much?

I believe I saw a previous post saying not to worry about the bonus being reduced (to pay more to colleagues in your team who are staying around) since they were set on Friday 5th Sept. But when I look at P&LI docs it says "Employees ....can expect to have rewards conversations beginning Sept. 22nd". Pay date is Sept 30th. Sounds to me like the instructions if you got the ER today to "(1) Ensure your manager is aware of your acceptance into the Cisco Elect Program and begin to transition your work" will not help preserve a good bonus?

So be assured you will get what is put into the system for you by your manager.

During previous LR's, I know people as well as seeing posts here, who had their IPF put really low in order to reduce their year-end bonus down to what they'd already received as part of the mid-year bonus, so they got nothing.

Others, like myself, had their IPF at 1.0 and got our full year-end bonus minus the mid-year bonus already paid.

It really depends on the individual manager. If they want to screw you over, there's not much you can do.

All bonus input closed on sept 4th and no further changes can be made to the system by managers. Also this is for pat year performance. It isn’t a retention which is served by RSU’s. So be assured you will get what is put into the system for you by your manager.

I believe input to bonus amount was required prior to Sept 2nd/Sept 8th timeline so in theory your mgr would not have had any awareness in either direction when assigning factors. Of course, your mileage may vary.
