I have kept quiet since the lay-off but received a text from someone in my previous store asking me how I was and when I coming back from vacation?
Did they tell the stores who was let go and what happened with the layoffs?

Baby here. Every employee at my store was told exactly what happened. There was a script that had to be read. It was done that same day since everyone was let go in a matter of hours - by noon time. If they weren’t scheduled then convo was done the next shift as soon as they clocked in.
After 7 years of service, I was given a box to pack up my desk. And escorted out of the building by my SM. What a kick in the A**
Shady and no loyalty
They said nothing at my store, it was as if they had never existed. We already knew, though, because as soon as they were out of the building they were texting us what had happened.
most of the time they don't bc they don't want people to quit, that is why we had to leave right away after without talking to anyone.
