Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

My advice to all Ex-HAL employees...

I was laid off in 2015 and rejoined a year later. In Dec 2019, I left HAL and went to work for an operator/producer. The first thing I did, was replace Halliburton on all of our rigs. I gave Halliburton a taste of their own medicine and my advice to you is to do the same when you get the chance. They skrewed me over and I did the same by replacing them on all our rigs.

You are not very bright are you? Read his original post dip$hit. He was laid off in 2015 and got rehired back a year after that.

Hate to call your b—s— but just by reading your post I can tell you are at most a rig company man...company men have no pull in what service company they use or not, it’s all about pricing. You’re acting a bit big for your britches there bud but you are also coming off salty so I’m guessing you weren’t a voluntary release. If your new job is so freaking great why are you wasting your time on a Halliburton blog if you haven’t worked here in 5 years....

I will definitely keep this in mind when things turn around and end up in an operator’s office.

I get where you are coming from and it’s not uncommon to meet disgruntled ex-employees in operator’s offices but just be careful. If you legitimately found better vendors with the same service quality and better prices, then you should totally make the right decision for your new employer.

However, if you are just being a prick because you can then be aware what goes around comes around. I’ve known at least two people in your situation who burned bridges for no reason except they were on a power trip with ax to grind and they’ve had “Ready for the next opportunity” status on LinkedIn for over a year now. Again, not telling you that you’re wrong but I get the impression if you are hanging out on a Halliburton lay-off message board the attitude is not entirely rational for your employer. Don’t be petty. It doesn’t look good on anyone.

Nice try SnakeCharmer. actually I was able to save the company money by getting rid of Halliburton. The other service companies are just as good if not better as far as reliability! HAL does not offer anything that we can get from someone else.
Halliburton will never be on one of our rigs on my watch!

Nobody is hurting until your new service company botches the job and cost you yours.
