Thread regarding SeaWorld Entertainment Inc. layoffs

Huge mistake

they payed TJ (security) and others severance under the previous policy since the furloughs began. Therefore they must pay us all the same. Or. It is favoritism. We need a good attorney to represent us all. Who at Morgan and Morgan should we contact.

They did change the severance policy. Pretty much says severance will be given at their discretion, if they have the money for it at the time of lay off. There was no breakdown by weeks or service.

Also not sure about company-wide but there its is an equal employment opportunity issue. In my area only 40% of the protected work class over age 40 were brought back and 85% of those under 40 were brought back. If anyone discusses with an attorney please communicate so it's a united front. I'm sure they're lawyers are looking here anyway so it will be no surprise
