With all the concern about COVID and making us wear masks and getting temp checked i couldn't believe my eyes. I was returning to my desk when I was stopped in my tracks when I saw someone standing a few feet away from me suddenly pull his mask down, bend over and sneeze into the air. As he was sneezing he started to waive his hand thru the sneeze droplets! Should I have reported him? He's a director I think.

now you can get terminated if caught not wearing a mask at work....
If you're worried about or feel the urge to report someone for existing, you should probably stay home.
So are we working 10 hour days and Friday too? Perhaps we should all just work 7 days a week and call it 70 hours, kind of reminds me of December last year when we were all asked to work during the holidays to make up for their shortfalls.
They are so concerned about covid in SLC that they're requiring mandatory overtime through the end of the year..
My initial shock would have told me to write "YES!" to report this person, but then I remembered all of the times that Human Resources has failed to act on any sort of serious complaint... I'm guessing that if you would have been able to get this on video it would have been a different story. (And, you cannot confront the person directly, because then you are the aggressor who will be in trouble.)
I wouldn't recommend the useless Ethics/Compliance department, either. Just as bad as HR.
Unfortunately, this person could have just risked your life with their stupidity. Why someone would do this, I cannot even begin to understand. But, it's the danger of working in an office setting during a pandemic.
No worries he was just making sure everybody got their fair share.
