What's the best way/place to hop a train without getting caught? Any tips?
I hear the conductors are friendly and will let you ride with them if caught. Is that true?

Don't let a manager see you! They might think you actually work there, see that you're not getting work done, and get laid off!
In my opinion the best time is when the engineer pulls into the service track to have his dirty diaper changed.
Just climb on and enjoy the ride. The UP doesnt have employees to catch you doing it, and the ones that are left don't care. Hope that helps you.
