Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

BREAKING NEWS!

Just heard from a VERY reliable source that #1304, , is one of the stores definitely closing. Additionally, #1125, #1048 and #1272 are under heavy review of P & L reports for possible closing as well. For those of you that do not know, these stores are in the SWFL Region.
Anyone else able to confirm other store closings??

Hey “breaking inaccurate news”
none of the stores you specifically mentioned (in case you forgot-it’s in your original post) in your post were announced to close....and no apologies??? To be clear I am not looking for an apology to me but you owe one to everyone who read your bs post. Sorry you can’t admit you are “not in the know”. Lol...
Guess on an anonymous site you might feel empowered to spread whatever horse sh– you want with out regard to the people you may be affecting.
Hopefully before posting in the future you will be more considerate of the people you claim to care about..

I understand now, you cannot admit when you are wrong. I’m done wasting my time with you, better luck to you in the future, with your attitude it seems like you’ll need it. 😂😂😂

Confirmed! How do you like that “rumor” now? Obviously you are not in SWFL, but I am accepting your invisible apology and I really do hope all BBB co-workers are able to find a stable, healthy and happy future with all professional endeavors.

Hey “ breaking news”, since you don’t have first hand knowledge what you have is a RUMOR!!
YOU are the one who needs to apologize to anyone who may be foolish enough to believe your made up nonsense.. sad that you can’t just admit your so called reliable source is probably someone who would have no way of actually having any real information, if they even do exist.
Pathetic that you keep trying to continue to spread your fake news rumors.

Thanks for the well wishes. We can all use a little help these days. Again, your choice to think this is a rumor. My intentions are to help current BBB employees with their future. I am a very nice and honest person, with that being said, I will wait and accept your apology as things roll out as said. Until then, keep your chin up and keep reaching for the stars!

Hey, guys at #613 Orlando. You will be able to move to a different store. There are stores in the area desperate for help, PT to Management.

Interest...So since you don’t agree with my “opinion” as you like to inaccurately refer to my post my opinion is “distasteful”??
Just trying to let people know your reliable source is wrong.. just do not want people worried in SWFL based on an inaccurate RUMOR that you started.
No need to surmise on whether I am “ hurt because “I am not in the know” again. I am OK.
Seems like you are trying to make yourself feel important by trying to spread a rumor and making people feel insecure.
Please try and be more responsible and best of luck to you!

You can believe what you want, as I said I have a very reliable source. Idid not post about the salvage contractor. Your accusations and negativity suggests you truly are hurt that you are not “in the know”. I am not being disrespectful to you, when I say, that I do not care what you believe. I wish someone would have given me a heads up with what was on the books for Orlando.
Wherever you land, if you even are/were employed at BBB, I hope you do treat people with respect based on other things rather than your distasteful opinion. Take care and again good luck!

You got it all wrong again Breaking News...
I do not believe you care about anyone but yourself or you would not be spreading inaccurate information when people already have anxiety about their jobs.
And for anyone concerned it is inaccurate!
Wish I could say more......

I am sorry you feel that way, you are entitled to your own opinion. I am simply trying to help out my struggling BBB family. If you are hurt that you are not “in the know”, I cannot help you with that. Best wishes to you and your future retail endeavors, my friend!

Oh I didn’t know it was a “salvage contractor “ ! Very disturbing that you are continuing to try and sell your c-ap. Fake news and VERY fake background story and response.
Almost comical.. let us know if you get any more info from anyone else, you know, like the nesspresso rep or some other random person (who may be made up).

I’m at #613 in Orlando, my store is closing and eligible employees are NOT able to transfer to the old Southwest Florida district because of closures. So I do believe this is unfortunately true.

To the person that commented about “Livelihoods”, you must be a SM or DM, that’s the only way you can afford a livelihood at BBB, I’m not a disgruntled former employee, I’m still here riding out the storm, with a pay cut of course!

This is Not Fake News...I don’t think a salvage contractor would lie!

I wondered about the "breaking news" as well. There is way too many rumors, fake news masquerading as insider knowledge, scare tactics from disgruntled former employees, possible short sellers with an agenda hoping the stock reverses course after the recent run.

I'll never forget the "guaranteed" private equity buyer.

Not really “ Breaking News”
Not sure who the very reliable source was but happy to report that none of the stores in that area (SWFL ) are closing .
Kind of irresponsible to spread gossip/rumors regarding people’s livelihoods. Wish I could say more or speak to some of the other areas people have asked or posted about.

They will probably close all stores and end up as an online only store. With so many ASMs taking the severance package, they could have kept some of the ASMs they laid off who didn’t have a choice of staying for less pay. I don’t know why anyone would stay to do the same job for less pay. It was already bad enough dealing with horrible customers and lazy associates - the only good thing about the job was the money. No reason to stay if they are taking that away.
