I have first hand knowledge attrition numbers are being tracked and fed to SM. It is occurring but it is a low number. Very few will be backfilled and it would take an act of Congress to backfill in the US. My guess is that the attrition numbers will be used to gauge an upcoming furlough or layoff just not sure when.

If we will follow what all airlines are doing let’s just get it over with and announce a layoff and/or furlough! Most are worried about job security and I’m begging to be laid off! I used to love Sabre and management now I don’t care for the company nor do I trust senior management.
SM is tracking attrition because his bonus is partly based on cost reduction and employees are nothing but a cost to him and the board. But that's ok because he got his

You missed my point - so it’s actually you that doesn’t get it! Yes attrition is what SM wants. What I am saying is that he is tracking it very closely to gauge how many need to be laid off later this year. In other words he will lay off “x” number of people that was his goal minus those leaving by attrition. Get it?

People leaving is in the best interest of SM and gang. It's less cost. They see us as cost.
