OK folks, here we go... Mark Tritton (56 Years old), makes $14 million dollars per year. While most of you, on this post, lost his/her job, lets break this down (for those of you that dodged the bullet - pay EXTRA CLOSE attention). $14 million a year, works out to:
$269,230 - per WEEK!
$6,731per HOUR!
$112.18 per MINUTE!
$1.87 per SECOND!

Do I have your attention, yet? I hope so.

Most people finance a home for 30 years... they take out a mortgage, and make monthly payments for their entire working career, right? Lets say, for example, the average home is $250K. Mark Tritton, could "Save-up" FOR 1 WEEK, and buy that home (the extra $19k could be used for furniture and electronics). Getting the picture, yet?

How about that new car you want? Let us be reasonable and say it will be a $30K car. Hmmmm.. Mark could buy that, if he saved his pennies, for working 1/2 a day! He could arrive at work at 8AM, and by noon, he could have enough money to OWN that $30K car!

Medical insurance got you down? How much do you pay for health care insurance? $300 a month? Mark Tritton could pay for your health care insurance in less than 3 MINUTES!

College tuition for your children? WOW! A big one, right? In-State tuition is about 20K PER YEAR. Mark Tritton could save for 3 HOURS and pay that one! Yes, 3 HOURS!

You can go online and buy a picture of Mark Tritton (with Jessica Alba), for a bargain! It will only set you back $499! (Google that for yourself)!

So, whether you are a SM, an ASM, or one of the few full timers left - ask yourself why this Aussie (not even an American), is drawing a paycheck, while you all suffer with all of the BS going on at BBBY? The last stock trade he made was worth $1.5 million in BBBY shares! What makes him "More Special" than you? Ask yourself that. No, really, ask yourself that!

And for all of you "Special SM's", that think you are all part of the "Managers Club", is Mark Tritton THAT MUCH better than you? Are you THAT MUCH better than your associates? So - Store Managers - TREAT YOUR ASSOCIATES BETTER! Don't look down on them, and keep secrets from them. YOU are the next ones to lose your job.

Our store is one of the best in the South. We lost hard working FT people, so now those left will pick up their work load as well. We needed those people...we are not just standing around playing games on our phones, we work hard!!!!! Full timers run the store and it either succeeds or fails because of them. Ours was a success, but now with moral down and not enough coverage we'll see how things go....not looking good!

Mary Winston was brought on as an Interim. Interims never make the same as a CEO. I really implore everyone to learn about Economics and corpirations pay structures. I know it sounds obscene the amount if money CEOs make but that's the way it is fair or not and you are making a fool if yourself with your rants

Clearly his salary is not dependent on performance or results like the rest of us...Oh yeah, we aren’t even getting performance based increases this year!! And why does he make this grotesque amount of money, when they paid Mary Winston, a Woman of color a fraction of that?! MT is making almost 2 million more than ST in his last year. I understand it’s a “big money” job, but this is a prime example of the inequality in wealth in this country. And why should he be making more than the former CEO who ran the well almost bone dry? Because the investors had to have their knight in shinning armor!! He should have been brought in on a more modest salary, with incentives for performance. The fact is, the changes that have been implemented are a crippling blow to those of us trying to run the store front business. It feels to me like a set up, to get the stores to fail, so we become scapegoats when it’s time to declare Chapter 11. You are a fool if you think MT gives a damn about any of us at the store level. Time to move on...

I dont agree with the words/tone of the post, but I get where it's going. Mark makes way too much for the little he's done so far, and the direction we are now going in (sinking ship). Why in the first couple or few months of covid were we able to succeed in TBS orders with no problem but now all we hear about is late, never shipped, no refund, etc? This c-ap has been going on for a couple of months now and from what I hear, there is no fix in sight. How is drastically cutting staff and THEN massively cutting pay for the remaining managers going to successfully run a store and make money? I dont know who in thier right mind would want to stay or could afford to stay losing that much pay! Our online customer service doesnt s—, it just doesnt exist anymore. Soon, our stores will follow. THIS will lead to the imminent demise of our once great company. Thank you Mark....

It is 2020. We are supposed to be smarter, right? I think the Board of Directors need to take a closer look here. Hey BBBY Board - Listen up - want to SAVE MONEY???? Fire Mark Tritton and save the company $6731 per hour! That is a hell of a lot of toasters and sheets to sell - PER HOUR - to pay MARK! DONTCHATHINK???? In fact, "What are you all thinking"? I do not see how he is a "HERO", by selling corporate HQ and announcing he is closing 200 stores this year. YES - 200 STORES! How many employees will that equate to? How many employees are going to have to go home and tell their family, "I lost my job today"?

How can Mark Tritton continue to collect $269,230 PER WEEK and look himself in the mirror? HOW?

HOW can BBBY Board of Directors approve this outrageous pay? How can they sleep at night knowing they are losing money, but, yet.... they pay this fool? It is DIRTY and SHADY. That is HOW! Mark Should be ashamed to even show his face in public. The SEC should investigate what is going on here. The shareholders should DEMAND an inquiry. This is BS - that is what it is. Would you pay someone this much money to sink a ship? NO!!!

Who would buy Bed Bath and Beyond stock, hoping it would turn around, knowing Mark Tritton is being paid this much? Why would they even buy this stock?

60% of the floating stock is being "shorted" right now! What does that spell ?

All Talk, No Actions. I’ve been saying this for years!! BBB management is to afraid to say anything because they are easily replaceable if they don’t stand together, which they won’t. I was one of the ones let go after 23 years. Management will sit and take it, until they are let go. BBB has been taking advantage of salaried employees for a long time till they got sued and had to pay. It’ll never change until they stand together. Sad but true.

Wow1! $6731 per hour? That would take an employee making $15 an hour - 448 hours to make! That would be 11.21 weeks (40 hours per week), for a $15 per hour employee to make! And he makes that in 1 hour! 2.5 months at 40 hours per week to make what he does in 1 hour! Fire him! BBBY is in trouble! They are wasting money on Crocodile Dundee! Fire him - NOW!
