I was part of the layoffs this week. Everything was kept quiet but I have known many people through my years. Any idea how many buybuy baby associates were laid off?

What I dont get is how does Mark expect Baby to survive with this many less people helping our customers. Many Baby stores lost HUNDREDS of sales floor hours that are not going to be replaced. Baby customers expect and need significantly more help than the average customer because they havent done this before! We were pretty much told by our district support that we no longer can provide customer service like we were used too. Well guess what? Our customers will have no reason to shop here now. Our customers came to Baby BECAUSE of our customer service! I'm afraid we will start to see a decline of customers and sales almost immediately once they start to figure out we just simply cant spend time helping them like we used too. And with TBS screwing the pooch for us, they wont be shopping online with us anymore either!
Two supervisors at my store...would have also been an ASM, but one of our ASM’s left, so the other one ended up being spared...From what I’ve heard all Baby stores lost people too. This hurts for us especially because we stayed open through the shut downs, completely open to the public, while pushing out hundreds of CDS everyday. I know many Bed Bath were working, even when the stores were closed also helping with the online fulfillment...then this happens. It feels like “sh– on all of you”, even though we were the ones at the store level working our asses off, putting ourselves in harms way, getting verbally abused by customers over masks, to keep this piece of trash company running. I am looking like hell for anything else, and if you’re a full time associate or supervisor etc...you should do the same.
Not sure how many associates total, but my store laid off 9/15 of our full timers
There were 2 at my store. Myself and another key holder. Not sure of the totality though. Sorry.
