I understand that companies have to restructure which means usually a lot of layoffs. Don't insult people and tell them because of covid-19 we were forced to do this. You knew way before this that this was going to happen.. Why when was it when you realized a statement about this did you not disclose to the public it was just full timers. Did you not disclose how you cut Asm's salary and almost forced them to take it or quit. Oh I got it so they cant apply for unemployment. Why is it some full timers got let go others were forced to take part time or quit. Again so no unemployment. Was it in your statement that you gave people 6 days to get new insurance. Did you not have a heart and maybe people had to work for that insurance because maybe they are sick. How can you expect people to come into work and give it their all like they used you. Let people go and be able to walk out with their head held high,. Its hard enough out there and these people came back to work and risked their lives with this virus going around crazy. If your going to release a statement that's cool just release all the facts. I realize no one from corporate or no CEO that is trying to save a dying business is reading this just needed to vent. Customers already dont want to shop in the store with the new return policy goodbye BBB

You have to remember this all started way before COVID-19. Years of telling investors that we are going to have a great season which never happened ( this past Christmas season) BBB owes investors money for losses. This compiled with customers looking for the cheap where one can purchase the same in another store or online. How does one pay investors back downsizing stripping back the layers of over purchasing of inventory and employee’s. Remember BBB gets their inventory a year ahead of time warehouses full for the up coming seasons. Watch for liquidations, paying off investors and chapter 11

Let people on social media know . I guarantee people will not buying from them. All family and friends will never shop there no matter how good of a deal they have. They are not here for the customer anymore it is all about how MT and all friends and investors get their pockets filled with cash. Sooooo disgusted. Smh
How does one walk out with their head held high? You have nothing to be ashamed of getting let go due to a company failing. I agree with the posts that say they don't have to put out a statement let alone say why. Covid has k–led businesses that may have been able to survive. And I agree no one's job is secured. It s***s but that is the way it is. I understand your frustrations and need to vent and I wish you the best.
they dont have to say its covid related or related to anything, companies can downsize, eliminate positions whenever they want they dont have to give a reason
A business doesnt have to put specifics in a statement release, hell they dont even have to release a statement if they dont want to lol And everyone, public included already knew the company is going in the shi$$er , on their Facebook page for months before covid even started ppl were complaining about their bad customer service and so on, so it wasnt anything new, ppl should have expected something major was gonna happen , covid was their perfect opportunity to have an excuse to do it now, NO ONES job is secure anymore, anywhere, hasnt been for year, states that are "at will" companies take it and run with it these days and there is nothing u can do about it, they can cut your hours, change your position, change your pay if that position changes etc , this board is beating a dead horse with 500 of the same posts over and over everyday , move on if you cant go PT or dont like the title or pay change , and to the ones saying "im not going to work as hard anymore etc" well guess what thats the difference between someone who thinks they were entitled at a FT as opposed to the people who were alread normal PT ppl, those people who were always PT picked up your slack before and now they will be picking it up again cause your butt hurt , those PT ppl care about their jobs

Yes they really screwed over a lot of employees. I understand layoffs with buyouts (severance) but forcing long time associates to s— it up or quit? That isnt an option. And there will be more very soon. Why would I actually work as hard as I have before this. Really. MT your dreaming if you think customer service is going to be the same. I wont try for a beyond anymore. I wont ask for a beyond+ I'll do as little as possible. At least if I'm fired I can get unemployment and say bye to BBB.
