A lot of the companies that Walmart has bought up in the past 10 years (because they couldn't compete in that market otherwise) were not as lucrative as they (WM) thought. The loyalty to those companies were lost as the Millennials, to name just one group, left because they recognized what an evil company Walmart is. I suspect if Walmart does manage to purchase TikTok, the customer base will abandon it in droves.
