Will ViaCBS compensate for unused PTO if laid off? Personal, vacation, and sick days?

If you are a NY Viacom vet, no. They give around or about 2 weeks for every year and if you've been with the company a few months they give about 3 months severance. Benefits vary.
Happague employees are golden because cbs , showtime and viacom are going to be under one roof, great time to be a Happague employee
What about Hauppauge employees?
For legacy CBS employees, accrued PTO/vacation is paid out at your current salary rate at the time of termination. Sick days, comp days, Summer Fridays, etc. are forfeited. Policy is subject to change next year with the goal of unifying across all of ViacomCBS.
That's dependent on location. In NY the legacy Viacom employees will lose any used PTO days at the end of September with no compensation. So take your days, people! Unused PTO days are not paid when someone is laid off. Viacom switched to PTO from vacation+sick days as a cost saving measure. I have to think ViacomCBS will use the same policy wherever they can. CA & other locations with different labor laws will have different policies.
Probably not if you are a New York employee. Legacy Viacom employees in NYS have a PTO bank (non-accrued paid time off), so the company doesn't pay it out. California employees should get their unused accrued time off paid out.
ONLY accrued vacation days. Not personal days or sick days- those are forfeited.
