Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

WARN Letter

Thought I heard HR in San Ramon say on a call that Houston and San Ramon received WARN letters recently. I work in one of these locations but did not receive it. Does it come via email or regular USPS mail? Thanks.

Part of government regulations to activate a number of assistance and support programs. The Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act helps ensure advance notice in cases of qualified plant closings and mass layoffs.

I also got my WARN by email. You only get it if you are in R3 pool (layoff Oct. 23). The R4 folks will get theirs down the road. You don’t get one if you are not in scope for a specific action.

Does everyone get a WARN letter regardless if you EOI or not?
