If you are ever fired/laid off in the store, don't be afraid to act out. On your way out, feel free to push over multiple paperback book displays. Use your arm as a sweeper and clear entire shelves, cash wraps, and whatever else is in your line of sight. They are not going to do anything to you, they just want you out of their store fast.

This is funny I actually saw my manager when I visited the store. The manager was rude to me and danced around when I brought up returning. This was after the manager told me the store was doing wonderfully. The manager actually called me at the end of the same day to say I was being terminated. I didn’t pick up cause I was on another call. What a coward and liar. When we finally spoke this week the manager said you are my first choice to bring back for the holidays. Why would I believe the manager. And do I need $300 that badly with all the covid germs there?
Plus, no one actually goes to Barnes and Noble, because, you know, Amazon, so you wouldn't be bothering anybody.
The hardest part is going to be finding a Barnes and Noble in the first place, because I am pretty sure they haven't existed since the 90's.
Anyway, off to go make a mix tape.
